Just a short note to thank you all for a splendid experience. We had a wonderful time on your 2 day tour last 26th28th August ( The Highland Experience). Your Guide, Tim, was a pleasure to be with and deserves a big hand for a job well done. .. .. Job ???? .. .. you must be joking !!! Tim wasnt working. He was making sure that we get the best out of our 2 days together .. .and enjoying every minute of the experience with us. I dont know if its possible , but we would like to get hold of Tims email address to thank him personally and also to send a couple of photos as a memento of our happy days with him on the Highlands. Thanks again,

My husband and I took the above mentioned tour with Steve as our guide and driver. We wish to highly compliment Steve, who gave us 5 lovely days visiting his country. At all times Steve made it very clear that this tour was for all of us to enjoy and he showed us beautiful places where we had time to explore and visit at our leisure. He entertained us with his history classes, always with a certain sense of humour, which made our visit a very enjoyable trip. At no time did we feel pressured nor short of time, and that created a very nice comradeship amongst the group. When we were approaching Lochalsh we saw a sign advising of a monument to the Murchisons, we had mentioned to Steve that we had friends in Argentina called Murchison, and much to our surprise the following morning, Steve took us to see the spot, which he had investigated previously. Details that do not go unnoticed!!! We will recommend your tours whenever possible.

Just wanted to send you a feedback after having done your 5 day tour from Edinburgh. We left on the 19th July with Duncan as our guide. I just have to say that my husband and I had a very good time, and I should put it down to Duncan entirely. He was so informational and really made our trip worthwhile. I loved the way he interspersed longer periods on the bus with colourful stories, legends and music. He gave us little bites of history all along the tour without it getting boring (Bonnie Prince Charlie & William Wallace are now real people to me!). His story-telling is very good, and he amused us throughout with witty jokes and funny accents. I also liked that he educated us a bit about Scottish music, played all the famous ones and got us all to sing along. I have been listening to the same songs after getting back home, and they make me very nostalgic now! Also, since he explained the stories behind the lyrics, the songs really do mean something to me, and I'm beginning to wish I ws a Scot too! Duncan also made regular loo stops and other regular stops so we never felt like we were going on a long bus tour. I think he stopped wherever possible and accommodated our demands for photo ops without compromising on safety. He also took the time to get to know all of us separately. And he spent time with us in the evenings as well when he could have been free of us lot for atleast some time! Am particularly thankful to him for taking us to ceilidh at Oban and showing us a different experience. The tour itself included everything we wanted to see, and more. Duncan also gave us the flexibility to change plans along the way. The B&Bs we stayed were pretty decent. I liked the one we stayed at Kyleakin the best- 'Fir Cliff' or something like that(can you let me know). The owners, Marie & her husband were true hosts packed us breakfast when we skipped, and piped us out to the bus when we left.

Just a note from us now back in London to thank you for arranging our excellent 2-day tour of the Highlands, and in particular the challenges of Thursday morning (I apologise if any of my emails confused you over the dates). We all found Dave a first-class tour guide with an unusual depth of knowledge of local and national history (as well as ability to keep everyone amused). We wish him well in his future plans. I will have no hesitation in recommending Highland Experience to anyone in the future.

Just want to say a big thank you for a great few day I had a couple of weeks ago on the full days daytrips to Loch Ness, St Andrews, and O'Ban. I was impressed with the knowledge each the three tour guides had of the areas, particularly Kevin. He showed alot of passion and enthusiasm for what he was showing us and personal interest in the travellers on board. He also recommended other places to go and see, which I carried out throughout the rest of my time in Scotland, which was fabulous. I have since got back to Australia and consider the 'Loch Ness' tour one of highlights of my 3 months of travelling. I have some fabulous photos and my friends are insanely jealous of the places & sights I saw. So, thanks for 3 great daytrips and the memories!

To whom it may concern I tried to find where I could leave a testimonial on your website, but to no avail. Alas, I just wanted to say what a WONDERFUL trip my wife and I had on our recent 'Loch Ness' excursion from Glasgow (20 July). The trip met or exceeded our expectations in every way imaginable -- we were so pleased. While we currently live in the UK, we are moving back to the US in a few days time. This was our last UK excursion and it was everything we were hoping for... and more. The scenery was simply stunning. The coach was spot on time throughout the duration of our trip. And our guide (Bob, I believe his name was) was absolutely fantastic. He was personable, courteous, extraordinarily knowledgeable, terribly witty, and FUNNY. He even handled a particularly difficult and ornery customer with a gracious patience I would not have been able to muster! Bob was icing on the cake. Thanks so much for a tremendous trip. We will recommend it widely. Please feel free to point me to where I can post such comments on-line, if that would be desired. Gratefully and sincerely

I am writing (very belatedly) to tell you how much we enjoyed our 3 day Skye Experience. We had great fun but it was so much more than that. The natural beauty of the Highland and the Isle of Sky, the well thought out itinerary (the well- known places and the hidden gems - places we would never have found on our own) and Duncan's commentary (especially the lessons in Scottish history a bit irreverent, at times, but both enlightening and moving, too) made for 3 days we will never forget. There are a lot of highland tours out of Edinburgh. We are so glad we picked Highland Experience and were fortunate enough to have Duncan as our guide! Many thanks!

I was able to go on the Loch Ness tour this past saturday, July 10th. I have to say it was definitely one of the best tours I have ever been on. I didn't know what to expect when I signed up for it-all I knew was that I wanted to go to Loch Ness, and that if I got to see more of Scotland on the way, that was great too. I certainly did not expect to have the best time I could ever have asked for on my tour. I cannot say enough good things about Chris, our tour guide. His energy was contagious, and his passion for Scotland and his heritage inspired me to come back one day, and also to try and learn more about Scotland in general. He was extremely knowledgable on all accounts, from historical to cultural, and made us all feel more than welcome to ask as many questions as we wanted. He always kept a smile on both his face and ours. At the end of our tour, I told Chris he was the best tour guide I've ever had, to which he replied Am I the only tour guide you've ever had? haha. I told him no. I've actually been lucky enough to travel quite a bit. Scotland is the 14th country I've been able to visit, and I've taken tours in most of them. So, I've had my fair share of tour guides, and most of them were quite good. Please let Chris know that he is phenomenal, and that he truly is the best one I've had! I learned so much, had a great time, and saw the gorgeous Scottish highlands. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. A big thank you to your team and Chris particularly for such a great day. I hope I'll be able to travel back to Scotland one day and take another tour with you all.

My mum, sister and I took the 'Quest for the Holy Grail' tour from Edinburgh on the 23rd of July 2010, and we just want to say that we had a great time. Especially with an animated driver-guide like Ian, describing the battle stories and history of Scotland. We thoroughly enjoyed his excitement and passion throughout the tour. We have never encountered a driver-guide as passionate as him. We also booked a tour from Glasgow to Oban, and he happened to be the driver-guide for that tour. However, there was a slight mix-up with the reservation between the Edinburgh and Glasgow office, thus we were unable to join in the tour that day. Ian was very gracious about it and we were very pleased with how he handled the situation. Thanks again!

I am writing to send my hearty thanks out to (and recommendation for) Chris, our tour guide, from my mid-June two-day tour to Inverness. Chris knowledge of Scottish history, culture, music, and well, whiskies was not only impressive, but it was also engaging, entertaining, and fun. I got more out of this tour than I ever bargained for and have surely made lifelong friends despite only two days of travel - in fact, we've already linked up via Facebook to share pictures and stories! What particularly moved me was Chris honor-filled and respectful handling of the Culloden battlefield and his encouragement to several of our group with Scottish backgrounds to really experience and feel what their forefathers and foremothers contributed to their country in those times. I wish Chris and his girl Claire all the best, and to his manager Please give this main a raise, he is truly outstanding in his field!

I would especially like to commend to you the excellence of the driver-guide Mr Steve Hay. Steve has a wonderful personality, obviously loves his job & his home-land of Scotland and is an incredible mine of information, what a pleasure to travel with him for 2 days. Staff members of his quality are hard to find, so l hope he is appreciated because of Steve and the quality of the tour we will book with you again and tell our friends and anyone we know to book with your company.

Hi there. My wife and I recently completed a 5 day tour, May 31st to June 4th from Edinburgh. What a fantastic tour and place! A big thanks to Duncan our guide. He freely shared his extensive knowledge of this beautiful country and provided stories, historical context, myth, and legend (along with lots of laughs). We will remember our time on tour, the people we met, and the experiences we had - fondly for many years to come. For anyone looking for a tour, Id highly recommend the 5 day. I enjoyed the fact that there was a little more flexibility in itinerary. The 5 days also gives you more time to get to know your touring partners. A great big Thank You, from Katharine & Rob. And would just like to say a big Thank You very much to our driver and tour guide Duncan who took us all around the Highlands safely and successfully. Also thank you to your company for providing this great tour. I was able to see so many great sites and places and was able to learn a lot about rural Scottish history and the terrain. We were very lucky to have Duncan who was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about everything he was saying. And said it all in a manner that the entire group was able to understand and follow all of us were enthralled and he was able to answer every question thrown at him! The accommodation was excellent and well received also. I have already and will continue to recommend your company to any visitors interested in the Highlands or even friends who live in Scotland - and would like to know more about the Highlands. Many thanks to your tour company and a huge big mention our tour guide and driver, Angus, for the day trip we took to Loch Ness. Anticipating a long and tiring day in the bus before we started, we couldnt have been further from the truth. The whole tour was a delight. The bus was very clean and very comfortable. The choice and mix of music, along with the knowledge and information passed on by Angus all combined to make it a highlight of our stay in Edinburgh. Angus is a wealth of information and a true credit to your company. Keep up the great work and a very big thank you to you all.

Just had to write and say thank you for an exhausting but wonderful 3 days! Our guide Eddie was absolutely marvellous - he brought the tour alive with his informative and humourous history of Scotland as he safely negotiated the remote roads of the Highlands. Nothing was too much trouble - he couldn't have packed in more to the day. His tips on where to eat etc. were most welcome. Well done and thank you Eddie! We will certainly recommend Highland Experience Tours. Wendy and Barrie

Dorothy and I completed the five day tour on Friday, April 16th. We had a fabulous time! Our tour guide, Chris, took our small group to some of the most interesting and scenic places - Clava Cairns near Culloden, the Fairy Glen, Dunadd Hill Fort, and a hidden waterfall at Glen Affric just to name a few. The sights were grand, the timetable was just right, and we covered a lot of territory. Our accomodations were just what we wanted. Our special thanks go out to tour guide Chris. He made the trip absolutely enjoyable by expertly getting us all around Scotland, and by sharing his unique knowledge as true Highland Scot. What a grand treat the tour was for us! Brian and Dorothy

Hello, Thanks for the enjoyable two-day Highlands & Loch Ness tour on April 17-18, 2010. Eddie is an exceptional guide and filled-out the tour with plenty of interesting wee stories. He made sure to acknowledge the children in the group and our kids appreciated his humour. The bus was comfortable and the pace of the trip was nice. Eddie's professionalism should be praised and we felt assured that his historical descriptions were accurate.

Hello, My partner and I wanted to leave some feedback about our tour to Loch Ness on the 11th April as we feel the tour itinerary and our driver were fabulous. Iain (hoping that's how it is spelled), our driver, proved to be both funny, charming and immensely acknowledgeable about the areas we travelled through. Not a single portion of the journey was dull the sights and experiences of the tour would not have been nearly half as good as they were without our driver. We both agree that we have learned more about clan history, local houses, industry, life, Scottish history and how far the English can be blamed for much of it (joke.) Iain's wit and humour led to some of the greatest laughs of our year haggis farms, porridge pumping stations and the seemingly ever-changing height of Ben Nevis (by at least a half to a third of an inch each mention.) Overall the best tour we have been on ever. Richard

Dear Sonia, dear Angus, my family and myself just came back from another 4 days Easter short trip to ParisFrance. Today I want to say thank you so much for all what you done regarding my 40th Birthday on the 31st April,2010. OK Everything was totally different as we planned so long because of this crazy weather. But Angus did everything what he can done to made my birthday so beautiful and unforgettable as possible. Because he knew that this day should be one of the most beautiful and unforgettable days for me and my friends in my life. Showing my friends your breathtaking Highlands and GlenCoe. And now everything came totally different. My wife and myself were soooooooo disappointed and we felt soooooo sad. But this is the reason to have such a great, wonderful, cheerful, humorous and experienced driver as we had. Angus was really in complete command of this situation of the weather and changed the tour in a one day Loch Lomond tour. After all we all had a really great time during this day. 1.Seeing Doune Castle of the Monthy Pythons 2.Seeing Loch Lomond and having a little walk there. 3.Having Lunch at this wonderful pub Oak Tree Inn ( it was so delicious ) 4.Seeing a Distillery ( GlenGoyne) and having a little whisky tasting there. 5.Seeing Stirling Castle and having a great view from the parking place. Point 1 4 I have never had or have seen before. So it was also very exciting for me. And I said to my friends that this will be a reason to come to Scotland again as soon as possible to visit the Highlands. Maybe we can celebrate my 41th Birthday. Ha!Ha!Ha! So please tell Angus my deepest thanks for all what he has done for us and that he is a really nice guy !!! And dear Sonia I want to say thank you again for all your work. I will recommend your Company whenever I can. As soon as I have photos I will send to you as a memory. Looking forward seeing you all again very soon in Scotland to go on our ONE DAY LOCH NESS TOUR !!! Thank you again and Warmest regards, Yours Jan-Christian and friends

Just to say thanks to Tim for a great tour last week.Although I haven't written a review ever before (usually too busy), feel I must make time to say how much both Keith and I enjoyed it. We really appreciated the personal touch- the way Tim involves everyone without ever being intrusive. He was more than kind and thoughtful in spite of having to drive in atrocious weather.Everything was a positive pleasure and his enthusiasm and passion for Scottish history (without ever being boring) will leave a lasting effect with us. Although we have been to Scotland before, this trip has made us much keener than we could have imagined to return. We are planning to come up again in the summer. We will be recommending this trip and Tim to everyone who will listen. Thanks Tim - great to meet you.

Dear Highland Experience Team, My boyfriend and I just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful day last Tuesday with your driver Steve. We went on the Loch Ness Tour, and it was really a perfect day, and that is mostly due to Steve, who seems to know everything there is about Scottish history, and who was very kind, entertaining, approachable and helpful, and made sure we had an amazing time. So thanks to you and to Steve of course ( I hope I got his name right!), it was so lovely! And we know what we are talking about we were on another tour only two days before with a different organization, and that was nothing compared to our day with Steve. We had a great day with Highland Experience on Sunday the 6th December The weather in Edinburgh had been so wet we decided that a day in a coach was better than walking the streets or the shops This turned out to be great idea Firstly, the trip. We went on the one day Loch Ness, Glen Coe, and the highlands For most of the day, we saw Scotland at her finest and the stopovers also very good In the time available and the daylight hours, we saw the best possible mix. All the distances and stop over times were about right. All very enjoyable. Next the driver and guide. Chris Gibson is a fantastic asset to Scotland and Highland Experience It was so pleasing to have a man who knew his stuff, who loved his country and was always looking after his passengers. He did not give us any heartache, kept us on time, and did what he promised he would do. He treated us with care and respect and kept us in line When we come back to Scotland, let up hope we can get on board with Chris and yourselves again All the very best Sheila and Gerry

This letter is long overdure, but definately want my views read by you and by Angus Cameron regarding the trip that my sister Shelia from Edinburgh and I took to Skye from Edinburgh from September 23-25 September, 2009. When I learned that Angus was filling in at the last minute for the scheduled bus driver who was sick, I was concerned that he might not be as knowledgeable about this particular trip as the regular driver. Was I wrong! From the beginning, before we moved an inch, when Angus told us facts about the new statue of Adam Smith in Parliament Square, and then David Hume's monument, I knew we were in for a great time. I was born and brought up in Edinburgh until emigrating to Canada at the age of twenty, and had received what I considered to be an excellent education in Scottish history. Angus's comments on the bus brought my schooldays back to life again. In fact, he surpassed much of the information that was still in my memory. Apart from his historical knowledge, Angus was friendly, courteous, full of humour, and would ask us at times what we would like to see, and how long we wished to stay at each site. Having smaller vehicles, which were very comfortable, enabled us to visit sites that were not available to larger vehicles. Altogether it was a most enjoyable and memorable trip, and I shall recommend your company to friends who are travelling to Edinburgh. I hope to be back myself also one of these years. Keep up the good work!

Chris was our tour guide and driver - he is such a credit to your company as he his endless passion for the Highlands is so evident in the entire 12hrs that we spent with him listening to the information and stories he dynamically recited. It was such a pleasure and privilege to be shown the Highlands of Scotland by Chris. Best wishes, Karen & Jimmy

We wanted to say a big thank you to Michael. He was our Touch of the Highlands tour guide today (28th October) We had good weather, a great itinerary (loved our walk at the Hermitage and the pretty town, Dunkeld.) but what made today brilliant was Michael. He brought the countryside to life with his stories of times gone by. Rightly proud of his Scottish history. We would definitely recommend this tour to all. We took our 3 children who all had a great day too. Thank you, a Brilliant day!! Lorraine and Trevor

Hi, Three weeks ago we had returned home from doing the Isle of Skye Tour. We can't stop talking about it! The scenery was absolutely amazing and our tour guide, Angus, was a brilliant story teller, who was able to put over his vast knowledge of Scotland and Scottish history in such an entertaining manner. This trip has left us with happy memories from start to finish and we would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit Scotland. A very big thank you indeed to Angus and all at HIghland Experience.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour to Skye and Loch Ness during our recent visit to Scotland. Angus was a wonderful guide. He cleverly interwove the history of Scotland into his commentary of what we were seeing along the road, and by the time the trip was over we felt we had a good overview of the history and geography of Scotland. He gave detailed answers to our questions, always went out of his way to be helpful, and worked long hours, all of which he did with good humor. We will certainly recommend your company to any of our friends who plan to visit Scotland.

The bus driver Angus who was also the tour guide impressed us with his full historical knowledge. Also with the care of the passengers, asking them the times they wished to visit at each stop. Now in Edinburgh, we are back to old clothes and porridge!

Hi, This past June, we took an amazing 3 day tour of the highlands (the Isle of Skye tour) led by Chris Gibson. Not only was he knowledgable about Scottish history and culture, but his enthusiasm and love for the area made the beautiful scenery really come alive. We know we got very lucky with the weather and the group with whom we happened to take the tour, but we also know Chris made a huge difference. He took advantage of the good weather to allow us to picnic outside and enjoy the views. He helped our group mingle very quickly to make the entire 3 days a time of fun, relaxation, and learning. In short, he took a good situation and made it a great one. So thank you to Highland Experience and Chris Gibson for a wonderful few days! All the best, Kipp and Memory

Everything went perfectly, we saw everything we wanted to see and learned so much about Scottish history. The main reason why our tour was so wonderful was our tour guide, Will. He was funny, not cheesy, knew all the history, was enthusiastic and we could tell he was passionate about Scotland and being Scottish. We really appreciated the knowledge and stories he shared with us and that he did everything possible to make the tour a wonderful and unforgettable experience for us. Because of him, we would definitely recommend Highland Experience to our friends and family. Thank you! Dave and Jen

Hi there! I am writing to thank everyone at The Highland Experience for a very memorable introduction to Scotland. I took the 2 day tour to Loch Ness with three friends on 4th September. I especially liked Glencoe and Killiekrankie. Our group was also fortunate enough to spot a rainbow disappearing right into Loch Ness when we made our first stop along the lake. We didn't see Nessie, but we almost saw a pot of gold! I want to thank Paul for his passionate narration of Scottish history and folklore which provided a great back drop for our experience. Paul made history come to life by carefully timing all his stories with stops on the tour. He went well beyond playing the role of the informant, as one could tell that he really cared about sharing his love and admiration of his nation's past and present. (personal note to driver). All in all, it was the best tour I have been on and I will recommend it to everyone that reads this. Thanks again Paul!!! Kaumudi.

We will never forget that fantastic and breath-taking day with our guide-driver, Chris. He was enthusiastic and well-informed. He told us interesting stories about the Highlands and its people. He accepted the fact that most of his passengers were Hungarian students who practised English in that way. He spoke clearly and his sentences were full of humour. All of us adored him. I must mention that besides these things we felt safe in his bus. Thank to Chris it was a marvellous day in the magnificient surroundings. I would like to say thank you to all those people who managed the tour, the payment for the Hungarian grroup. It was a good decision to choose you. Thank you to everybody. Hi everybody, on the 17th of August my mum, sister and myself we did the 5 day Highland an Island experience tour. I can say it was fabulous and end this comment but it was even more!!! We where with a group of 15 people and our tour guide was Michael. I was very excited about this tour. Last year we did a one day tour to Loch Ness and that was a successful day and I fell in love with Scotland. So we were saying to each other we want to book a 5 day tour so we can see much more of this beautiful country. The first day we were leaving the city and when I see something that looks like the highlands for me I took some pics. (Personal note to driver) I thought I have seen some Highlands last year but they where just the low lands. Ha ha. Michael have brought us on places you miss when you just rent a car and go on your own. We where lucky that there was much rain the last days. (During the nights some rain in the daytimes but that is something you know about Scotland) Because on Wednesday when we leave our hotel and going to see Skye there was so much rain and Michael called the Tallisker distillery because when we should leave we have not that much wee walks as Michael promise us. So in about 10 minutes we arrived at the distillery but on the road there was so much rain there were beautiful waterfalls and Michael promised us to take some pictures on our way back. On the road Michael was telling a lot about the country and his history. We want to thank Michael for this great tour of 5 days. And for the people who read this I would recommend this tour. Big Love Joyce

I did the one day Loch Ness tour with Steven last Friday and I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful trip. I'm usually a bit wary of doing tours because you often get ferried around by someone who is more interested in getting everything done to time than imparting any knowledge about a place or creating any atmosphere. But your tour was fabulous, the stories were gripping and you could tell that the guide really enjoys his job. I had an unforgetable time and I'll definitely be back to Scotland. So thank you very much!

The 3 days Isle of Sky tour was a truly amazing experience. If you like mystical landscape, greenery, mountains, castle (lots of castles) blue skies, great lakes (loch) and an opportunity to take great photographs of the Scottish Highlands, then this tour is the right one for you. Glencoe is a must see for it's breathtaking view, and boat ride across the Loch Ness is a must do activity. Along the way there are great scenery for you to look, so take a window seat and get your camera ready to snap pictures as the bus glide along. If history is your cup of tea, and you would like to know more about Rob Roy MacGregor, Macleod Clan, William Braveheart Wallace, Great Scottish Battle and Castle stories, then you need to make sure the you get Chris D as your tour guide. Chris entertains the group with all his stories throughout the journey, and since he is from the Highlands you can feel his passions and enthusiasms, which make it very interesting. (even if you are not fond of history, you'll enjoy Chris's stories). Chris also took care of people in his tour, always happy, patient and attentive to the group's needs. For those travelling alone, Chris took extra care to ensure that nobody don't felt left out and enjoying the whole experience. Oh, and if you have kids, he is great with kids too ). The tour take in no more than 16pax, so you will have a small group of interesting people that you could meet. One thing you need to prepare though, rain coat and a good walking shoes (waterproof). Even though it was summer (July) when I went there, but everyday is raining, and everywhere is wet wet wet. I definitely recommend this tour to everyone visiting Scotland. You ain't seeing Scotland yet until you visit the Isle of Skye.

We really wanted to send you the photos we took with him as he was tremendous. The explanations he was giving on the busduring the trip were amazing and you were just waiting for him to go ahead with the story, as he was talking in a very interesting way. One of the girls felt badly on the bus, and Paul kindly stopped it until she was feeling better. He was really worried about her and couldn't stop asking if she was feeling better or not. We appreciate his help on this, as we would have had to take her to a hospital if he didn't stop on time. I had to translate his stories to all my friends into English and he was waiting for me to finish the translation before he continued telling the stories, so I thank him for that. Hiya! Just wanted to thank Steve, our driver-guide for the 5-Day Highland Experience Tours 15-19th June 2009. He took care of us really well, going out of his way to bring us to places that we wanted to go. It was particularly enjoyable for us students on a budget as he told us about the different price ranges of foods, or suggest spots for picnics - and thats how we made pony friends at Ledgowan Lodge, and delighted us tremendously. We were brought to many scenic spots for free, killing two birds with one stone. The waterfalls, rivers, lochs in the highlands left a lasting image in our minds. Not to mention, the double rainbows we saw one rainy day in Skye. We will not forget the time Steve climbed up a particular mound so agilely which amazed everyone on the bus, and then making a wish, throwing pennies into the fairy lake. Thank you very much for the 5 days of amazing experience! Sok Ee and Lu Shan.

Hello Highland Experience team- This is Ashley and I went on your 3-day excursion to the Isle of Skye this past weekend. I don't know if this is the appropriate venue for customer comments, but I thought I would give e-mail a shot. I'm a postgraduate law student at the University of Edinburgh and my parents came from the United States to visit me. We all wanted to see a bit of the Scottish Highlands and my friends recommended your company and specifically the Isle of Skye trip to us. We were on the trip that left this past Saturday (June 27th) and I have to say that is was truly one of the most fun tourstrips I have ever taken. First off and most importantly, our driverguide Paul was fantastic! His sheer knowledge of Scottish history was amazing enough but that combined with his obvious love and affection for his country, his wit, and his kindness towards all of us question-hungry tourists (my family especially) and you have yourself one special employee. He also was an exceptionally advanced driver. He took us on roadscliffsledges that looked scary enough to walk on let alone drive a minibus. I also think by going exploring on the roads, such as we did, we got to see much more than we would have otherwise and that was very much appreciated by myself. I got my money's worth and more. I also have to compliment your company's organization of the trip. Everything went swimmingly. We were on time, everyone had a lovely place to stay, good food to eat and knew the itinerary of that day and the next. I also have to say that you guys really do an exceptional job visiting the hot spots of Highlands. I can honestly say that I feel like I have gotten to see and get an in-depth history lesson on the major attractions of your beautiful country including Glen Coe, Loch Ness, Isle of Skye, Stirling Castle etc. etc. The places we got to see and visit were stunning and not soon to be forgotten. Last and not least, our tour group was awesome. We had people from all over the world really coming together, getting to know one another and making friendships. A part of that is the way your tours are run. There is a lot of time on the bus and at the attractions for everyone to get to converse and in the end make new friends. In fact a couple of days after we returned to Edinburgh, I randomly ran into a Japanese lady who was on our tour and we have decided to have tea dates in the future to discuss our common interests and to keep our developing friendship ongoing. I would never had even known this sweet lady existed and resides in Edinburgh but for this trip. Thanks again for a wonderful trip. I know also that my parents would second everything I said here and they too are much impressed with your travel company as well as grateful for the Highland Experience. I'm here for a few more months so maybe I can go on another trip with you all, but even if not, I certainly will recommend your business to persons interested in traveling outside of Edinburgh to Scottish places of interest. Thanks so very much and please let Paul know just how much he was appreciated by not only myself and my parents but by our entire tour group. He's a gem! Ashley

He was very kind and extremely accomodating - it was clear he wanted to do his very best to make sure we had a good tour. Most importantly, he had interesting stories to tell the whole day and was just great to listen to. Of course he told the history well, but what I really liked was that he spoke with passion and shared his personal perspective on many aspects of Scotland, thereby allowing me to get a better feel of the pulse of the place. Hi Chris, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for taking me on the Loch Ness tour on 11 May 2009 (or maybe it was the 12th), the days all roll into one when you travel. I really enjoyied the tour and i think it's true about what they say 'It's not the tour, but the tour guide that makes it'. Thank you so much for taking me around Scotland, telling great sottish stories and even making a couple of () jokes! I really enjoyed the experience and i have recommended to many travelers that I've come across since. Also, sorry about the comment about guys not been able to to do two things at once. Overall, i thought the whole experience was 'Character Building'. Thanks heaps, x Lauren, the Aussie that prefers her BBQs over Haggis (i did end up trying it in the end).

On Sunday, May 24, we took a Highland Experience Tour to Loch Ness with Paul as our guide. We just wanted you to know this tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Scotland. Paul was knowledgeable, charming, and very interesting. We could hear the passion in his voice as he so eloquently spoke about your beautiful country and its history. He truly brought history alive for us that day and we shall never forget it. A fabulous experience! Thank you!

Hi,My name is Eliza, I went to Skye with your company last weekend. I have never seen such beautiful scenery and it will be in my memory forever. I would like to thanks our guide, Chris, for this wonderful time I had there, and tell him that I am delighted by his passion for Scotland. I will be forever grateful to him for show me this feeling that I've never felt before. A particular thing that I loved about the Highlands was the mountains. They are so powerful and I had the sensation that they were protecting when I was passing by them but, at the same time, they were challenged me to try to go to the top. During the journey, Chris told us about Scotland history and some stories too, and a lot of them occurred on the mountains I realized that the mountains are witnesses of the Time. It make me love them more. Thank you Chris, thank you Experience Tours. Eliza Malucelli Harger

Good morning Weve just returned home to Kent after a very enjoyable holiday in Edinburgh, during which we took your Taste of the Highlands tour. I understand that you welcome feedback, so this is to tell you that we enjoyed the tour very much. The coach (which seemed brand new) was very comfortable. What really made the tour so enjoyable was the driver guide, Ali. He kept us amused and informed and has a wealth of historical knowledge, and clearly a great love of the Highlands. He suggested a change to the itinerary to make it more interesting, to which everyone agreed, and it proved very worthwhile - especially as everything in Crieff is more or less closed on a Sunday. Ali took us to places where tour buses dont normally go, which we loved - it certainly made the whole tour really interesting and enjoyable. Regards Clive and Jill Sidders

16-17 May 2009 To our excellent driver and guide Steven The experience trip had it all, a railway bridge mighty tall came out of the mist to the price of 87 lives, and the little ancient town, with husbands and wives, we soon left behind looking for the first loch on the list, Loch Leven that had Queen Mary captured on an island, but it was completely hidden in the fog (you couldnt even see her uncles dog). In Pitlockry we had something to drink, when we came back to the bus there was no-one there but us, so he told us the rule, I am not a wee bit cruel, your best time is my prime goal (besides feeding you good soul). Heading for Inverness he told us about a giant among men that won a battle at a glen, his sword was as Mel Gibson high, and the blue face was a colored lie. After the story about the battle, he told us about the cattle, the hairy highland coo (for real, not at the zoo). In Swedish there is a word for pattern, that is just two dots from monster. So secretly we bought a little sweet green, since no-one real had been seen, and the monster that your sleep had troubled shown to be water that was bubbled. At Culloden you told us about a slaughter that really did appall my daughter, but in your favor can be told that your self were very much appalled. Dramnadrochit was our lodging for the night. We went to Urquhart Castle at candle light and the best thing that never happened was a fact, tired of impressions then we hit the sack. Next morning we all stood tall and went to the nearest waterfall. The mouth of the river had a lot of water to deliver and made it clear that there are a lot of ridges that demands their bridges. We travelled along the great and mighty Glen and then we saw the highest Ben, but Nevis was a little shy and hid her nipple in the sky. When does whisky taste its best? whenever it hits your longing chest, but we were urged to buy some picnic too (and dont forget the latest loo). In the Highlands blessed moor we soon will eat, bring your food and take a seat. Of the terrible crime of the Campbell clan he did us tell (they did not behave extremely well), it took place in 1692, but Steve, it felt as if it happened to you. What is there more for us to tell? perhaps about the seven sculled dwell, Mary Stuart and her bad choice of men, the origin of the kilt, but then again, if you want Scottish history good told and see a Loch, Ben or Glen so bald, go to the Highland with Steven's bus and give the best regards from us. By the way Steven, now we all know that you are a safe driver. Gunnar, Gen, Annica & Anastasia To write a school essay with rhymes in a foreign language is a bit like climbing up a mountain on your hands wearing a Kilt hoping to land on your feet, if you see what I mean......... The Highland Experience Team would like to say a huge thanks to Annicia for taking the time to create this fabulous poem.

Hello! Here is our group evaluation of the day trip we participated in. We are a group of seven upper secondary school teachers from Sweden, who were all eager to see as much as possible of the exciting country of Scotland. Due to our restricted timetable we wanted to be able to see as much as possible in just one day. We chose the Loch Ness Tour, and the trip took place on May 16th 2009. Our guide and driver for the day was the wonderful and highly professional Michael. We would just like to express our deepest appreciation for the way Michael guided us through the historical and geographical landscape of Scotland. Throughout the long and intense day, Michael provided us with both general and personal facts and trivia, all delivered in the most witty, enthusiastic and insightful manner. The hours just flew by! All in all, we could not have asked for a better guide to provide us with a good overview of Scotland, and the whole trip was highly memorable. THANK YOU! Best regards, from Sweden

We had an amazing time on your tour. The weather was brilliant and scenery was stunning. Our tour guide, Steve, was really helpful and knowledgeable. He made sure that our trip was the best it could be by stopping at any opportunity for a good photo and letting us know where the best places to eat were and what things we could do at night. We wouldn't change anything about the tour and felt like we had a thorough experience of the highlands and Skye. We appreciate the accommodations you provided for us. The Drumnadrochit Hotel was exceptional and the Dun-caan Backpackers Hostel in Kyleakin was nice and the owners were very hospitable. We will recommend your tour to anyone we know spending a few days in Scotland.

Dear crew of the highland experience, Last Friday my mother and I went on the Loch Ness tour with your guide Stevie. It was fantastic, we liked every part of it, the highlands were absolutely beautiful, and his stories were excellent, especially with his sense of humor but.the music he played during the trip was also very beautiful, now my mother would like to know the name of songs that were played in the bus, the song calledonia kept staying in her head but we didnt remember the other songs because the artist are not familiar to us in the Netherlands, except for Amy Macdonalds.(Frankie Miller version) Could Stevie give us his play list (Eddie reader, Rod Stewart, The Water Boys, The Corries and the Caper Ceilidhs to name but a few), so that we can go back to Scotland and the Highlands with his songs ? Thank you in advance. Greetings, Marry and Carine van Zomeren from Vuren in The Netherlands.

Ali's wit, Scottish sense of humour combined with a good grasp of historical facts, not to mention many interesting anecdotal asides, and humorous barbs, contributed, besides the impressive scenery, to a most memorable experience. With best regards from the two Canadians, Ernst.

We walked along the Royal Mile on 27th March, armed a few highland tours addresses to enquire & to choose from . Isle of Skye option sounds good we replied , we were sold ! because of a bubbly lady at the second stop. The next morning, when I first met & heard our tour guide , I already had a very good feeling that I would enjoy the days aheadSafe hands he was on the wheel but he killed me with his wit. What Chris did for the Scottish Highlands- its geography, the munros, the lochs, the people & the history coupled with his tales & passionate anecdote cannot be matched by any measure of media advertising. Methinks he is not just a company asset but an industry asset. We spend the first night in Gillians White Heather with a view of Kyleakin harbor . What a B&B place! Lovely English comfort & what a delicious B we had (Gil & Graig were English, Chris) . She arranged for a taxi to Broadford town to a dinner at Creelers of Skye (scallops, monkfish tail, seafood jumbo & a fish soup aah ). The second night at Loch Ness Inn at Lewiston. Again beautiful rooms and what a unexpected fine dining experience & breakfast it was. Two take-aways from the Highland Experience & Chris Gibson. First, the trip made us dig up & re-watch STARDUST oh yes now we can recognise those two backdrops on the Isle of Skye- especially Quirang where we stopped by after a wee wee break in the largest toilet downhill, and nearly got my gloves blown away up there, and that Old Man outcrop Second more reading up on the Scotttish vs English history, 13th to 18th century at least, to appreciate the todays UK and the monarchy Scotland will not be the same again to our family here in Singpore From Michael & Florence Tai and the kids-Jeanne & Ian on 3days IsleSkyes from 28-30March 2009

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you at Highland Experience, and especially to Will for the amazing three day Isle of Skye tour that my husband, adult daughter and I took over the Easter weekend. Every day was filled with beautiful scenery, fascinating history and great laughs. The off the beaten path B&Bs that the staff booked for us were really great, especially the Greenlea in Drumnadrochit. Instead of spending most of our time in the larger towns, we really felt like we got to hear about and see life in the highlands of Scotland. We definitely got to experience Highland Hospitality first hand! From the office staff of Highland Experience who were so nice, friendly and helpful, to the tour schedule, the tour leader, the extra attractions that were set up for us, the recommendations for good places to eat and drink and the camaraderie between the staff, those three days were really the highlight of our 10 days in Scotland! Hello I went on your Isle of Skye tour at Easter and am still buzzing from the amazing experience so thank you, thank you, thank you. When I walked into your Royal Mile office and asked Shelby what tours were available for Easter she behaved as though she cared that I had a good Highland Experience and was not just another tourist wanting a seat on a bus. This positive attitude was evident in every Highland Experience staff member I met during the tour they all did everything they could to ensure we had an unforgettable Highland Experience. Our tour guide, Chris Gibson, was a star. His communication skills in sharing his knowledge of Scotland brought its history and people to life in a way I will remember forever. His friendliness and enthusiasm for the landscape and the country was clearly genuine as well as being infectious. I do hope the Highland Experience company values the asset it has in Chris and rewards him appropriately. I have already sent emails to people in New Zealand and in the UK telling them of my amazing Highland Experience and recommending your company unreservedly. You deserve it! I have arrived home to Canada from my vacation to London, Scotland and Ireland and have wanted send in a THANK YOU for my day tour to Loch Ness with Chris Gibbons. Since the time I was about 7, hearing my Papa speak so fondly of his Scotland I have wanted to go. I decided that for the anniversary of my 2nd year being cancer free I wanted to visit Scotland. I decided to take the 1 day Loch Less tour and was so happy that I did. Chris was so truly passionate about what he did that he made it a day that I will never forget. His passion and understanding of Scottish history left such an impression on me that it inspired me write about Scotland in my next book and return next summer with my children for a 5 days tour with your company- hoping of course that Chris is our guide. I have to say that it is Chris that made the tour! I left Scotland the next day but was emotionally changed forever- I have wrote on my posts that Scotland was lifechanging! No, I didn't discover everything Scotland has to offer but I left Scotland with a personal feeling of understanding and a true desire to return and explore more! I need your help though! Chris has such an amazing passion for the history of Scotland and I was trying to get his details for my book to come. Could you please share my email address in order for him to contact me about my book. I have highly recommended your tour company to the B&B that I stayed in Edinburgh (Dean's House). I would suggest sending them some literature and information on your tours so they can offer it to their guests. Thank you again for such an amazing experience and I look forward to visiting with you again next summer. Cheers, Tasha

Hi, I wanted to say a HUGE thanks for our day trip to the Highlands last Thursday (19th Feb). It was a great way to get a preview of this amazing area!! Will was a fantastic tour guide, giving us in-depth information with a genuine passion for Scotland and it's history scenery! It was impossible not to be excited with him. Tania (visiting from New Zealand) booked the tour after researching many brochures, it seemed very inviting and great value for money - we were not let down!! I am lucky to be currently living and working abroad here in Edinburgh (only a few doors down from you on the Royal Mile in fact) so will definitely be in again to book another trip! Already eyeing up the St Andrews day tour 2 day Highland tour for when the next friend visits! It's also great to be able to recommend a Highland tour that I have experienced and enjoyed personally!! Thanks again, Will - thanks for a hilarious day, including the singing at the end, even if it was only us! Danielle (& Tania) Auckland, New Zealand

Hi there, My girlfriend and I did a one day tour to Loch Ness and Pitlochry and other places today, with Will. We wanted to pass onto both him and your company how much we enjoyed the tour and what an excellent guide Will is - very knowledgable and a complete natural on the job. Will made the day as enjoyable as it was and we were extremely lucky to have him as our guide. I will be recommending this company to my family and friends who plan to visit within the next year! Kind regards, Dan McArtney

To Ali and all at the Highland Experience, We recently completed a large trip through the UK and Europe, and wished to let you know the tour with Ali through the Highlands and Skye was the highlight of our trip. Apart from the unforgettable scenery, amazing views and sense of 'travelling' through the history of the region, Ali was what made the trip such a fantastic memory for us. His company, guidance and friendship throughout were that of catching up with an old friend proud to be showing their home to us and for that Ali, we are truly grateful. Not only would we recommend the highland experience, but we expect to return one day and would not think of using anyone else. Thankyou, Trent and Sonya. Dear Sirs, as a Guest on board of your comfortable minivan on my way through the Highlands, I want to express my full appreciation for your services. The tour was great in organization, timing and good value. But if Scotland will always remain in our hearts, besides lovely landscapes and a fantastic culture, this will be mainly due to the enthusiastic tour conduction of our guide Tim competent, accurate and friendly, or, in a few words, an excellent representative of the Scottish warm heart and hospitality. Hoping to meeting you soon on another gorgeous tour, Claudia Nonnis

To Whom It May Concern, My husband and I were in Scotland last September of 2008. We came to get married and enjoy the birthplace of our Scottish heritage. We went on three tours with Highland Experience and loved every moment but our experience was brought to a new level thanks to Allistair! Ali was our tour guide for the Skye Experience tour on September 13th and the St. AndrewsEast of Neuk of Fife tour on September 16th. He was kind, considerate, informative and funny!!! We just loved our days on the tours and had a high level of trust and respect for Ali. He made everyday unique and exciting. I just had to drop you a line to congratulate you for hiring a person who we feel is a hugh asset to your company. Many people we know have been to Scotland and loved every minute but for our friends who will be going, we have given (and will give) your company name as a must do! Please say Hi Ali - from your friends the Newlyweds, we miss you!!! We have attached two pictures from of our stop at Cuith-Raing on the Isle of Skye. Thanks again!!! Daniel D Lee Tim was the tour guide and was bubbling with energy as soon as he opened the door of the van. In the early hours of the morning it was an impressive show and set the bar for the rest of the day! I'd describe his persona as unmatched in the world of tour guides. His level of passion and knowledge of the Scottish culture and historical underpinning was set high early in the tour. And did not fade until the sun was down and the bus of tourists asleep. The views were beyond my wildest imagination. I've seen climbing videos of the highlands but could obviously not have grasped the areas vast beauty. Again, thank you kindly for allowing me to take part in the Loch Ness tour last week. Your county is filled with beautiful county and a proud citizenship. Its fantastic your company is offering a glimpse of Scotland's natural and cultural capital!!

We have enjoyed very much with you and we have to say that both two drivers were wonderfull, especially one called Derek that we stayed with him more time. They explained all things very well and speak slowly for us. The accomodation that you offered us in Drumnadrochit was very nice. We are thinking about to repet to visit Scotland. Thanks you. The Accent was pretty great too.We all had such a fantastic time and would def recommend the tour to any of our friends who were heading to edinburgh. We got so much covered in one day!! EXCELLENT!!! Please send a huge thank you to Tim our brilliant tour guide, it felt more like a day out with friends than a tour, with a fascinating history lesson chucked in for good measure! I remember you had asked us to email you with some of the pictures of Ben Nevis because the view was so clear that day. Well I just happen to remember and here they are! The first four all connect to create a panoramic view of the mountain range and the last one is a zoomed out view. I tried to label them accordingly. I don't exactly have any software to connect them all but maybe you do. I hope you enjoy them and thanks for an awesome tour. I really loved it and I hope I can come back to Scotland next time I travel to Europe! PS. Awesome Golem impression! haha Brian

I have been recommending these tours to as many people as I can. It was a great way to see Scotland with experienced, fun and entertaining guides. I went on the St. Andrew's tour (21 October) with Steve and he is such a wonderful storyteller, his love for Scotland's history is very apparent. I also went on the Loch Ness tour (23 October) with Tim. Although our day started out as a rainy one, and with a few less than pleasant passengers, Tim made it into the best experience possible. It was by far the best day I had while I was in Scotland. He knew all of our names and really got the group involved. Tim has a great sense of humour and had us laughing the whole time. Dear Sirs, Better late than never as they say so based on that would like to give the belated comments on the 5-day tour I had during Jun 30 - Jul 4. Every minute of it was just wonderful. Most beautiful sceneries on the route which was so well planned. We were very lucky with the weather in the first place, but even if it had not been that good, that would not have spoilt anything. Our guide Mr Chris Dearn was so professional in making the tour enjoyable for the whole group (despite the presence of quite different ages and cultures) that had it been rain or high water, it would have been just as much fun. I would therefore like to pass my special gratitude to Mr Dearn as undoubtedly he can be considered a true ambassador of the Scottish culture. Such statement is not an exaggeration at all. Moving on with his mission Mr Dearn will be meeting by far too many people to remember all of them but he will certainly be remaining in the best memories of each and every one whom he will guide on the Highland Tours around Scotland. In my opinion it is the best indication of complete customer satisfaction. Thanks again and will be in touch. Yours sincerely, Dmitry Kosyak St. Petersburg, Russia

Dear Highland Experience Management We've just returned from one of the best vacations we've ever had or ever will be blessed to have again! A huge part of the thrill of our holiday was the three day Skye tour that our dear friend, travel mate and 'trip planner' booked - being originally from Edinburgh himself (Tom Rowat), and his wife Susan. Our tour guide Chris went over and above the expectations any of us had on the tour. Yes, we knew we'd visit historical sites and see the most spectacular landscape, which are memories that will forever be vivid in our memory, but Chris added so much to our excursion in such a personal way. I'm certain that I speak for all four of us couples from America who saw Scotland through Tom's eyes and also through Chris'. Chris added so much to our experience with his deep love and passion for not only Scotland (for her history, her culture and her beauty) but also in the manner of he expresses it to all of his 'friends' on the bus. It is obvious that he is not only passionate about his country and his job, but even more so you can tell how sincere he is in sharing that passion with everyone he meets visiting his home. Chris has the natural ability through his warmth, professionalism and sincerity to fill every person visiting Scotland with that same awe and appreciation. His wit and cleverness kept us all laughing! His wonderful story-telling of Scotland's history, legends, myths and more were wonderfully relayed. At least for me, it was almost as if I could envision the events occurring on the canvas of the landscapes we toured. He showed sincere concern for every single member of our tour...ensuring we were all comfortable, fully enjoying ourselves, and experienced everything we could possibly fit into three days! When one person had difficulty with her camera, he helped her find the memory stick she needed. If someone felt ill, he'd coordinate a roadside break near a pharmacy for medication. He even made a quick turn around, backtracking a mile or so when one of my travel mates missed a photo of a scene she really wanted to take. He brought tears to all of our eyes when he'd select just the right song to convey the emotion as we'd pass through the Highlands and throughout Skye. He took the time to get to know each person on our bus and always wanted to ensure we were thoroughly enjoying ourselves. For me, a novice children's book author, he gave me inspiration at many stops along the way for hundreds of wonderful stories to write! Thank you for such an extraordinary part of our trip! The destinations were wonderful, the time on the bus was fantastic, the towns we stayed in at night were such fun and of course, your employee Chris was...brrrrrriiiilllliiiant!!! You must truly appreciate that he is such an asset to your company! However, Will's amazing stories of Scottish history, demonstrating a remarkable ability to recall dates and names, combined with an excellent sense of humor, and a nicely eclectic selection of mostly Scottish music. made the road sections fly by. I have previously hopped on tours provided by different vendors but none of them could come close to this experience. I must admit that most of the credit should go to our guide Will. His sense of humour transformed what could have been a long and boring journey into one that we thoroughly enjoyed. It left us craving for more at the end of the day. His knowledge on Scottish History was exhaustive. The tone he used sometimes made us feel right amidst some of the historic battles. The Scottish music that he played on the bus... It all just fitted in perfectly to provide us a truly Scottish experience. I would certainly recommend 'Highland Experience Tours' to people i know back home in India. Great job guys !! Dear Mr. Bremner My wife and I have recently returned home after 3 weeks in the UK during which we were fortunate to come on one of your 5 day 'Highlands and Islands' tours (beginning 4th August). Without a doubt, this was the highlight of our holiday and it made us determined to visit more of beautiful Scotland in the future - and a lot more frequently! The itinerary was excellent covering a wide variety of scenery and places and the chosen B&B accommodation was also very good indeed. It was however the efforts of Will(iam) our guide for the week that truly completed the enjoyment of our trip. His cheerfulness and enthusiasm throughout the tour did not wane for one second and his knowledge of Scotland with its history was quite incredible. That knowledge I might add was conveyed to us in an intriguing and quite unique way (with specially selected music in-between) such that we have now come home with a thirst for more detail ourselves of Scotland's very special background! A particular point of note also was his driving skills. We have travelled many miles by coach in recent years during which we have never, as front seat passengers especially, enjoyed such a comfortable and stress free journey. Given some of the difficult driving conditions he encountered on the way this not only highlighted another of his talents but enhanced our personal pleasure. As reflected in this tour's title it was for us an unforgettable 'experience' which we shall not forget in a very long while and for that we must offer you and your staff our heartfelt thanks. We look forward to travelling with you again in the future. Yours sincerely Bill and Anne Bremner

Dear Shelby, I just wanted to thank you for your assistance with all my questions. I ended up joining the 1-Day Loch Ness Tour (June 21st) and was beyond impressed. Our guide, Steve, made the long hours of driving very bearable with his entertaining storytelling, deep insight and his passion for the Highlands and its history. I spent a total of 5 days in Scotland, but this was the highlight. I enjoyed the best haggis of my journey (based on Steve's recommendation), fulfilled a childhood dream of seeing Loch Ness and learned a lot in the process. The free whisky wasn't so bad either. I'll be sure to recommend Highland Experience Tours to any friends smart enough to visit Scotland. If they are lucky, they'll get Steve as a guide. It was really a trip of a lifetime. Thanks again. Dear Sirs, Just back from our private tour of 6 days in the Highlands, I would like to tell you how extraordinary our experience was. The whole family enjoyed this tour a lot and could not believe that it was already terminated when we were back in Edinburgh last Friday. First of all, we have to congratulate you on the outstanding quality of the driver. Indeed, Simon proved to be a highly qualified guide, with a deep and comprehensive knowledge of the country and its history, able to communicate his passion for the area that we were visiting. As discreet as friendly and at ease with all the members of the family, he was a very nice fellow traveller. My wife and I as well as our four adult children enjoyed very much his quality of storyteller and, thanks to him, learned a lot about the Scottish history and legends. The choice of the itinerary was excellent and allowed us to get a good first impression of this large country and to give us the desire to come back. The hotels and B&B were also excellent welcoming staff, comfortable rooms, rich breakfasts and attractive prices. We also appreciated the quality of your vehicle. Comfortably seated in your new bus, we availed ourselves of the journeys to admire the landscape and to listen to the fascinating explanations given by Simon. For who likes nature and its wildness, the Highlands are certainly the place to go. The country is amazing and some places are really breathtaking. We thank you for the services you provided us with and we hope that we will have the opportunity in the future to deepen our knowledge of this beautiful country. Benot

We went on the Loch Lomond tour on July 28, 2008 and the Loch Ness tour on July 29, 2008! We will definitely recommend your organization to others for booking their Scottish tours! First, we highly enjoyed the stories from Will and his great sense of humor. He made what could have been a long boring drive into one of the most enjoyable trips ever. His description of Hamish and his enthusiam of being of Scottish heritage were astounding! We enjoyed him so much the first day we were kind of hoping he would be the tour guide the next day for Loch Ness. But then on the next day, Alistair proved to just as fun! Though he didn't quite roll his R's during his speech like Will, he was very knowledgeable and proud to be Scottish as Will. We want to thank you for two outstanding tours. We came away with a much more appreciation for your culture and the absolutely beautiful country you live in and a great liking to your water of life!

Hi Steve, It's Ben Drury here, (as you might have guessed from the email address) I just wanted to say thank you very much for taking the time to take me and the others to the Isle of Skye, and put up with us for 3 days. I had a fantastic time, and have gained experiences that I will remember for a long time in the future, mainly due to your enthusiastic nature and presentation style, and also from your level of knowledge regarding all of the places we visited on the tour. I especially liked the fact that we went to local highlights and took part in a mixture of hands on, cultural and historical perspectives of Scotland, and that you discussed the possible options when things didnt work out as originally planned. I am so glad the way this tour turned out, rather than the typical drive to a spot, take a postcard photo, drive to the next and so on. I loved the walks around the cliff tops, the waterfalls, and the handful of your favourite picks that we went to. I had a really great time. Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight ! from Ben

Hello! On the first and second of July, my good friend, Kelly, and myself had the pleasure of going on your two day Highland Experience Tour. This was my fifth time in Scotland but I had never seen it like this! John Paul, our fabulous tour guide, was as funny as he was informative. I have never learned so much about geology without falling asleep! The highlights of the tour were listening to the historic songs of Scotland (sung by John Paul himself!), wandering in the Hermitage, experiencing the battlefield at Culloden, and the fantastic petting zoo in Fort Augustus. However, by far the most magnificent experience was standing in the great Glencoe. Despite the thrashing winds it was hard for us to tear ourselves away. John Paul remained professional at all times, despite some difficulties we faced, and was excellent company for two days! I will never forget this tour and I highly recommend it to anyone who only has a short time in Scotland and wants to make the most out of it! Thank you, John Paul, and all the folks at Highland Experience Tours. Yours Sincerely, Jennifer Hare

Hi, In early May my husband Gary and I took your Loch Ness tour-it was a wonderful day and Alistair was a really great guide-we had such a good trip! We have lovely photos and great memories and learned so much about Scotland's history-where my mother in law was from early last centaury. The boat trip too was very enjoyable and we have such lovely memories from that day. Please thank Alistair again for us as we thought he did such a great job- he may remember the guy who got a 'bargin' at a cafe! I have also attached several photos we took on the trip. Kind regards Betty Mitchell

Hello, My name is Victor Burlacu-Zane and me and my wife were on the Skye Experience - 3 days tour between the 14th and 16th of July. We wanted to thank you for this experience, it was a wonderful trip. The places are magnificent and our tour guide, Chris, made it all better. Due to the small group size, Chris was able to show us some off the beaten track sites in Scotland like the Faerie Glen in Skye or Corrimony Cairn near Loch Ness. We even saw and photographed a wild deer on the road back to Edinburgh. We want for sure to return to Scotland one day for some other trips. Thank you very much for a great tour, Victor & Anca

Hello, I just wanted to write to you to tell you that our tour was an absolutely incredible experience, and that it had everything to do with our tour guide, Will. There were many places that Will took us to that weren't listed in the tour description, and he was always kind, courteous, friendly and unbelievably knowledgeable... it got to the point where we purposely tried to stump him! He was a fantastic tour guide, as well as a great and cautious driver. He always ensured everyone was ok and having a good time, and was always talking with different groups of people on the tour. His guidance on the 3 day Skye tour is something we will never forget, and we appreciate greatly! Thanks Will, and all the best! Sincerely, Kerry and Lynn O'Brien

Very friendly companyowner named Michael. Tim the tour bus driver guide is a comedy act all by himself keeping us entertained all day long, not a dull moment and truly knowledgeable about his homeland Scotland. This was the highlight of our short visit to Edinburgh, Scotland with fond memories to last a lifetime for our family. We got a brand new posh comfy 19 seater tour bus. Sits 2 on one side and 1 on the other side and I believe 4 all in one row in last row of seats in back. AC and very clean. Bus was full for the 1 day Loch Ness Highlands MONSTERS MOUNTAINS MASSACRES tour which last from 8am to 8pm with optional discounted Loch Ness boat cruise tour as well. Bus tour starts and ends at same point centrally located on the Royal Mile. Request Tim as your Scottish bus driving tour guide, he is awesome! Actually the queen should knight him as the official bus tour guide of Edinburgh...Sir Timmy!

My family of three all had an absolutely fantastic tour from 18 - 20 June to Isle of Skye and Loch Ness. Our group consisted of 20 interested and interesting individuals - and our driver, Steve, amazed us with his story telling skills. He also managed the weather - dry and sun when we stepped out of the bus - rain showers when we were back on the bus. I am not sure how he did that! We will certainly recommend your tours to others! Thanks again - Dorte and kids from Denmark

Thank you for making all of the arrangements to make our wedding day such a success! One thing I must apologize for is forgetting a card that Tim gave us (from you) in the beginning of the day...I believe it got misplaced on the bus since we were unable to find it later on. Dear Sir Madam, Just a short note to say thank you to your company. We went on your Scotish Highlands overnight tour with the tour guide Jo in early March this year and just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed the whole experience. Jo was the catalyst, investing herself totally in the tour to make it such a memorable one. for us. This was the first time we have ever travelled abroad. Coming from Australia it was such a long trip to make and we travelled for another 2 months after the tour, just getting home again a few days ago. I found myself often thinking about the wonderful memories we had of the highlands and the way Jo was able to bring all the stories to life for us. Could you please pass on our thanks to her along with our email address. We would love her to look us up if she ever visits Melbourne Australia. Once again, thanks for a most memorable experience. Regards and best wishes, Chris and Ann Gaynor from Melbourne Australia.

On the 2508 I took a tour with your company through the Scottish highlands on the Monsters, Mountains and Massacres tour with Alistair as our tour leader. I have to say that I had a terrific days entertainment and was impressed with how much he managed to fit in. I was on a short time frame so this was an excellent way to tick a lot of sites off my list so to speak. It was though a great trip largely due to our guide and driver Alistair who from the word go ensured everyone was comfortable and relaxed and set the toe for a great trip from the outset. He was funny, informative, very polite and although it was a long day he was timely with his information and allowed time of rest and no talking which was excellent! I know everyone on the coach had a ball and I would like to pass on to those relevant what an asset to your company he is. Thanks again for a wonderful tour.

What a quaint town. Anstruther does have some good fish and chips. Will, our tour guide was great, he was funny, and informative. We were gone 9 hours and it seem like nine minutes. Ali has the patience of a saint and was always good humoured and ever thoughtful of his group. Huge thanks to him. On the Isle of Sky we stayed at Witchwood I think it is - a lovely B&B and I would thoroughly recommend it. The owners are selling the business but the rooms were lovely and it is located in a great spot in Kyleakin. Thanks again - we would definately recommend this tour to our friends and can't wait to go back to Scotland! - Felicity Osman

For my 60th birthday, my lovely and generous son took me to Scotland, Wales, and London. Fortunately, we began our adventure in Scotland, because by the time we were headed to Wales I was too sick with pneumonia to do much besides enjoy the nice apartments David rented for us. Our time in Scotland was glorious and the rest of the trip was pretty miserable. One of the major joys of our time in Scotland was the day we spent cruising around the Highlands with Chris. I think that even if he hadnt mentioned it three or four times, by the end of that day, wed have recognized him as the BEST TOUR GUIDE IN SCOTLAND. We had a really wonderful time learning so much and seeing so much in just a single day. Im attaching a nice picture of Chris teaching us to fly using only whisky as fuel. This should really be a whole separate tour. And even when Chris ran over that families pony, he did a brilliant job of calming the heart broken children while explaining to the group, some of the equestrian history of Scotland. Thanks so much Chris for a great day. I hope your boss has a sense of humor, but with your working him, Im sure he must. If youre passing through Minnesota weve got plenty of space if you need a spot to hang in your travels.

Dear Marty, Remember me? I am the geography teacher from India who did the highland tour with you in the first week of September - there were only the five of us - Stevie the American and her husband and the two chinese, father and daughter and I sitting next to you and getting the most benefits. Really Marty what a tour that was and what an Excellent Guide we had in you! How well you brought out the beauty of the lochs and the glens and the highlands and how I enjoyed the highland music you played. The other day I watched Braveheart on TV and then Chariots of fire and I was back on the highlaands of Scotland again. Two months ago I visited Singapore and what a contrast it is to Scotland - they have doctored each and every bit even Sentosa Island there is nothing there that you can compare with Gods own country how glad I am that commercialisation has not yet touched Scotland. I tell all my friends to visit Scotland and to do the highland tour with you. Many many thanks for being such a wonderful guide. If ever you are in India do get in touch I shall be very happy. Here we are back in Paris (already) after a really great time in Scotland! Our bags are hardly unpacked and were already talking about returning. I didnt know too much about Scotland before going to Edinburgh last week. Id read some Stevenson and was familiar with Burns and Scott. No, believe it or not, Ive never seen Braveheart or Rob Roy. Id been to England and to Wales but had never made it up to Scotland. As far as contemporary popular culture goes, I knew about Britains The Ali G Show but didnt know a thing about Highland Experience Tours The Ali B Show. Ah, The Ali B Show, what a great treat. As you may remember, we took your one-day trip from Edinburgh up to Loch Ness and back down through Glencoe (Sunday 6 April BARTHEL & HOLLYFIELD). Our driver and guide was Ali. Thanks to his wonderful storytelling skills, his humour and his lively passion for Scottish culture, history and literature, this already breathtakingly beautiful experience became all the more ALIVE! Working myself with the public, I really could appreciate all the effort he put into the tour. By being available and talking to us during the stops and subsequently weaving stories that included us (the French, the Americans, the Dutch, the Greeks), I liked how he got as many people as possible personally involved in the experience. Alistair Buchanan is one of those rare finds and should be treasured as such. While the scenery is gorgeous in itself, Ali is the extra added bonus that makes all the difference. Weve already talked about your tours with many people here in Paris in our circle of friends. If any of them go, they know that Highland Experience Tours is not to be missed. And the next time were in Scotland, we WILL look you up again.
