ENTRANCE

Cafe Nero Highland Experience Tours Edinburgh departure point

Our main departure point is located in Caffe Nero on the the historic Royal Mile, only 300m to Edinburgh Castle - amongst all the excitement! However, due to our prime and very old location, our accessibility is very restricted with no ramp access available up the two sets of steps externally and internally.

Our staff are available outside and inside throughout the check-in process to assist with check-in and bookings.

VEHICLES

We have a fleet of 16, 29 and 32 seater Mercedes vehicles. They feature large panoramic windows, reclining seats and air conditioning as standard. All of our buses are equipped with a first aid box and our Driver Guides will always provide safety instructions in English prior to departure. The maximum number of steps onto our buses is 4. The buses are not wheelchair accessible, however, we have space to store folded wheelchairs should this be required. Staff are unable to physically assist those getting on and off the bus, therefore please ensure you are comfortable doing this yourself or with a companion.

ACCOMMODATION

If you are participating in one of our multi-day tours, we work with a variety of local accommodation providers. However, not all accommodations have accessibility within their premises, for example many do not have lifts. We always book accommodation for our guests on the overnight tours therefore please state any specific requirements at the time of booking your tour. Additionally, if you are booking a multi-day tour and require an accessible room, please contact us at info@highlandexperience.com or 0131 226 1414 for further information.

COMMENTARY

Our tours are conducted in English by our driver guides. We have one multi-lingual Loch Ness tour that we have available through audio commentary the following languages; English, Spanish, German, French, Italian and Japanese. Please request in advance should you require a script for your tour. Driver Guides will always provide safety instructions in English prior to departure. If at any point you feel anything is unclear or you cannot hear the driver, they will be more than happy to repeat answers to questions.
