Tour Description

Depart Inverness to Cawdor Castle

Leaving from Inverness we'll journey to the nearby Cawdor Castle*. With a trio of incredible gardens, a nature trail and putting green there's something for everyone

Learn how Scotland makes its most well-known export: Whisky

We'll then make our way to the Royal Lochnagar Malt Whisky Distillery* where you can learn about the lengthy process of creating the perfect dram. The tour offers whisky lovers a chance to taste a wonderful 12-year-old single malt.

Now onto Crathie Kirk

Stopping in the Victorian village of Ballater, nestled amongst the beautiful Cairngorm National Park offers an insight into Highland life. Next, we'll take you to Crathie Kirk, The Royal Family's place of worship, set in some of the most spectacular scenery of the northeast.

Tour Reviews

I have done two trips with Highland Experience. One to Royal Deeside with Ritchie and one to Applecross with Chris. Both went above and beyond expectations. I am not a 'tour-bus style' traveller. I am adveturous and independant and would much rather be out navigating my own way around. However, this is simply not possible in the vast expanse of Highland countryside. I would not hestitate to reccommend this tour to other travellers of all walks of life. The buses are small so you never feel like you're part of a hoard of tourists desending on the sights. The guides are knowledgeable, flexible and wonderful to be around. The buses are kept in great condition and despite the windy roads, I never once felt travel ill. The landscape is a once in a lifetime experience and Highlands Expereince is a practical, affordable and charming way to see it.
