B-Corp Certified

Travel That Gives Back to Scotland

Since 2005, Highland Experience Tours has been creating journeys that do more than show Scotland. They connect travellers with the people, places and stories that define it. More than 20 years on, that approach has been independently recognised. We are now a Certified B Corporation™, part of a global community of businesses committed to using business as a force for good. Travel that supports Scotland, not just visits it.

What Being a B Corp Means

Certified by B Lab, B Corp is one of the most rigorous global standards for responsible business.

  • Assessed across 5 impact areas: governance, workers, community, environment, customers
  • Minimum verified score required: 80
  • Our score: 82.2, placing us above the global average and among a growing number of responsible travel businesses in the United Kingdom.

For us this is a commitment to continue improving, with regular reassessment and full accountability.

Built on Local Connections

Our tours are designed to keep value in Scotland:

  • Over 90% of our suppliers are locally owned Scottish businesses
  • We work with 200+ regional partners across the Highlands and Islands
  • 1000s of travellers each year directly support local economies through our tours

This approach ensures that the value created by tourism remains where it belongs, within the communities that make Scotland unique.

Responsible Travel, In Practice

We build responsibility into how our tours operate:

  • Small and larger groups alike, delivered with the same low-impact, high-quality approach
  • Routes designed to reduce pressure on high-traffic destinations
  • Ongoing efforts to lower emissions per passenger through efficient vehicle use and itinerary planning

We recognise that no form of travel is without impact. What matters is taking responsibility for it.

What This Means for You

Choosing a B Corp-certified tour means:

  • More meaningful experiences rooted in local knowledge
  • A journey that supports Scottish businesses and communities
  • A company that is measured, verified, and accountable

It is, ultimately, a more considered and meaningful way to experience Scotland.

A Continuing Commitment

Highland Experience Tours is now part of a UK community of more than 2,000 B Corps. Together, these businesses are working towards a more responsible and balanced economy.

For us, certification is not a conclusion, it is a framework for what comes next. We will continue to strengthen our local partnerships, reduce our environmental impact, and be transparent about the progress we make.

Travel, done well, leaves something positive behind.

Travel that gives back to Scotland.
